Price of an oil change?

A friend tells me that I should avoid going back to the dealer where I got my car. He says that there it will be far too expensive. Should I just head to Jiffy Lube?

How much is too much for a 2007 Honda Accord?Price of an oil change?
Car dealers normally give you a loss leader price on an oil change. That is because their techs are on commission and will try to upsale you on unnecessary repairs such as rotating the air in your tires.(joke) If you don't know better you will fall for it. Jiffy Lube has a good reputation but is not exactly inexpensive and has a good number of rookie techs. The best rule is to find a shop that does not have their techs on commission and charges fairly. Our oil changes are full service and tend to run 35 to 40 dollars but you receive and good checkup and avisement of repairs.

hope this helps - www.trucktechautoandrv.comPrice of an oil change?
if u go 2 jiffy - mark your oil filter so u can tell if it's been changed %26amp; that they Tighten your drain plug !! U should price synthitic oil %26amp; petroleum oil first - call a parts house %26amp; c what the parts cost..first..then u can tell how much labor they are charging - REMEMBER - they buy oil in BULK just like there oil filters - so they get a good price on there parts..u will pay 2 or 3 times the amount compaired 2 what THEY pay ..
Jiffy Lube got caught NOT replacing filters that they were suppose to do. (it's company policy). I would stick with a dealer for a couple of dollars more.
