The people who own the gas companies themselves. They are the ones gouging the gas. I personally say that even though it is wrong and especially with the situation this economy is in, the business owners are actually smart in making their money....So the price of Oil has gone mad and no one can afford it, so who is making all the cash?
the speculators who are driving up the price of oil... of course, teh oil companies then make money, but they don't set the price....
The oil-producing countries, everyone else is just passing on the costs to the person down the chain, I would say.
