So Bush is responsible for the recent drop in oil prices, so say McCain?

What is he going to say, if next week oil jumps back up and higher.

and why is gasoline 400% or more in price when compared to OPEC nations. So Bush is responsible for the recent drop in oil prices, so say McCain?
Just goes to show you how arrogant the Republicans are.So Bush is responsible for the recent drop in oil prices, so say McCain?
If idiots are going to blame Bush for the increase in the price of oil then why should he not get credit when it drops. The answer says a lot about the people who back Obama and the democratic congress who will now jump on and try to take credit. Dick Durbin chairs the committee the oversees the speculators that they think they can control and they have done NOTHING nor can they do anything to offshore speculators so that arguement is gone.
Without a parallel drop in gasoline prices, the drop in oil costs just means more profit for the petroleum industry. So, maybe McCain is right; Bush is responsible for gouging Americans as much as possible.

His action - repealing the order set by his own father - has no meaning without Congressional approval. So, why would that have any effect?
The current oil prices have less to do with supply %26amp; demand and more to do with the trading practices of oil speculators.

Even though demand has gone up in the last six months, gas prices have increased 25%. Demand has not gone up an equal amount. Supply %26amp; demand doesn't explain that.

The prices going down are a knee-jerk reaction to what Bush said about drilling...so it is a result of Bush.
It depends on why it would jump up.

It can be argued that the lifting of the ban by President Bush changed the game for the speculators, thereby making them less willing to gamble on lower supplies of oil.

OPEC nations subsidize gasoline to the private consumer, the USA does not.
By issuing his presidential order, he did more in one stroke of a pen than congress did in the last six months.

He sent a message ';: Let's drill'; while congress looked for someone to blame.

And, yes, you can get gas a lot cheaper if you want to live in Nigeria.
I believe we did it, everyone reached their breaking point and changed their habits, drove less, used less, demanded less, so prices went down. Now answer this if car dealers can offer $2.99 a gal for three years as lure for buyers, why can't the price go down across the board?
1- No, then it will be the Democrats fault for wanting pollution controls and common sense.

2- Cause they have us by the b@lls

Zero Pollution Motors

Cars that run on compressed air

Minimal fuel cost

Decent range

Low price

Low maintenance

All the things oil and car companies hate

Look em up
I see. He's not to blame when they go up but he gets the credit if they go down. No, McCain can't have it both ways. Even with the current drop prices are still 40% higher than they were in Jan. of this year.
I paid $4.16 for gas the other day.

Gas stations are charging 2 prices. Cash and credit. I'll have to start carrying cash again to save any money. That's what I didn't want to do. I like going cashless. I find that I save more money that way.
Sure, Bush id responsible for the drop. He is ALSO responsible fro brining oil from under $100 up to $145 a barrel during the course of his presidency!
Interesting. How can Bush be responsible for lower gas prices but have NOTHING to do with rising gas prices? Is Bush also responsible for people winning the lottery?
LETS GET IT RIGHT, BUSH IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR THE DROP, THE AMERICAN PEOPLE ARE RESPONSIBLE, THEY CUT BACK ON CONSUMPTION, AND THE GREEDY RASCALS HAD TO CUT BACK ON THEIR PRICES, SIMPLE ECONOMICS
the drop was because of an unexpected rise in supply as a result of reduced demand.

had nothing to do with Bush.
What's it really matter if it drops a couple of bucks? IT NEVER SHOULD HAVE GOTTEN THIS HIGH IN THE FIRST PLACE!

Are we really going to celebrate when gas drops five cents a gallon? Whoopee, that'll sure change my life!
ur second question is self-explanatory. They own the oil.
Pres.Bush has very little to do about oil prices.
