Why is George Bush so against America having the right to sue OPEC over their manipulation of the oil prices?

like what Congress wants to do?

(In the news today)!

Could it be that this would lessen his profits and bribes he gets from the Gas Companys for allowing them to have their Political Payback? Why is George Bush so against America having the right to sue OPEC over their manipulation of the oil prices?
since he is an oil man... and it would affect him personally.. that's most likely why he is against it. he is a corporate president, more concerned with the plight of the major companies than with the American people. Why is George Bush so against America having the right to sue OPEC over their manipulation of the oil prices?
he is an oil man.
I agree that the administration has ties to large oil %26amp; gas companies and thus have passed legislation that benefits those companies. But there is more than just Bush, Cheney and their greed (although I think they are greedy bastards as well). There is also a real problem of supply and demand and tight oil and gas inventories. Some argue that the US should build new refineries because we haven't built one since the 1970's, and that the US should have known and or anticipate future oil and gas demands...And you're right, in a perfect world where a nation would do what's best for the majority of its citizens. But here's is the issue with that: Those refineries lost a lot of money for years with overproduction mainly from the arabs in OPEC. Now that the refineries are collecting large amounts revenue, there is no way they are going to build any new refineries to help alleviate the the price the consumer pays at the pump. The arguments that they make is that it's not cost effective, it's very expensive or current legislation makes it difficult to enter the refinery market. I would argue that too if I had a company in the refinery business.
